New Saxophone Presentation
Board Directors Denny and Jeanne Palandro recently presented a new saxophone — on behalf of the Foundation — to the music program of the Pleasant Valley School of Harrison Township, NJ in memory of their son Denny, Jr. who played both sax and drums in South Philadelphia String Band.
Band Director Nathan Kahn is pictured along with two young students in the music program. Nathan actually taught Denny, Jr. in the program his first year in the Harrison Township school district. Nathan is retiring and, ironically, his replacement will be Buddy Bader of the Fralinger String Band.
