New Saxophone Presentation at St. Monica’s
Thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters, we are continuing our good works in memory of our three angels Denny, Joe and Kelly. Last night, Board Directors Donna Ferry and Jeanne Palandro presented a new saxophone to South Philadelphia-based St. Monica School Principal Sister Melissa. St. Monica’s is especially meaningful because Donna’s son Joe attended there as a boy and played in the band.
When the Foundation asked about the band’s needs, we learned they could use a saxophone. How appropriate – and perhaps a sign – since it is the instrument Joe played. The Foundation is thrilled that Joe’s love of music will live on through this donation. We also discovered that Sister Melissa actually grew up with Kelly. There are no coincidences!
